Project Details
I was commissioned to create a logo and an identity for Hazati, a Tatreez studio based in Qatar, hosting a community of women and men from Gaza who sought refuge in the artisanal practice of Palestinian Tatreez (embroidery).
Hazati is a Canaanite a word for Gazan’s, this logo was created with the purpose of integrating an Iris flower; the national flower of Gaza with as its center the arabic, islamic architectural arch. Adorned with small arrows which are in fact the starting motif to any embroidered design.
I chose to use a handwritten arabic and english font in order to mesh even better with the illustration, keeping a hand made feel from A to Z felt natural.
The logo is available in two colorways, earthy yet striking with contrast to make
the white text pop.
